- Choose a favorite banned/challenged book by referring to the ALA Banned Books Week Weebly page.
- Research the book's history of banning and/or challenges.
- Create a “Wanted Poster” for your book
- Use an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of unlined paper or a document.
- The poster should include images with captions which identify
- The “criminal” (book)
- The “accomplice” (author)
- Additional text includes
- "Charges” (reasons for challenges/bans)
- "Sentence” (removal from library, school, curriculum, etc).

- Charges and sentence information must be based on research.
- Provide the sources of your information on the back of your Wanted Poster; use MLA style bibliographic entries.
- If your Wanted Poster is electronic, provide a separate page containing your bibliography.
- Use an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of unlined paper or a document.
- Consider your use of color, lay-out and design. Text should be error-free and easy to read.
