Multicultural informative speech
A multicultural speech is a requirement for CMST 101. For this informative presentation, you will identify a cultural, religious, or ethnic group and inform us about a ritual, myth, or artifact from that group. Examples include rituals like weddings, coming of age, burial rites, funerals, myths, traditions, holidays and religious traditions.
Choose something you are interested in learning more about. Keep in mind that if you pick a topic your audience already knows a lot about, you have not fulfilled the requirement to inform.
Because only one person may speak on any given topic, prepare a "draft list" for the next Advanced Speech class meeting.
Length: 4-6 minutes
A minimum of three sources are required. Choose credible sources of information. Wikipedia is not considered a credible academic source. You will attribute you researched information to its source in your speech.
You will prepare a formal outline of your speech along with a works cited page.
You may incorporate a slide presentation of up to 5 images to support your content. The slides may not contain added text.
